Students of various universities and colleges trust the attorneys of the Bose Law Firm to render competent and professional opinions on all immigration matters. Students are often concerned with their ability to work, travel restrictions, adjustments of status, marriage issues, and a host of other complex immigration matters requiring expert analysis. Recent trends have forced INS to pursue out of status students and oversee university directors. For these reasons, it is imperative to obtain professional assistance when necessary to ensure compliance with all eligibility factors for the visas.

Academic students and vocational (non-academic) students hold F-1 and M-1 visas, respectively. Generally, these visas allow one to remain in the U.S. until the completion of one's studies. The INS or State Department will usually allow a student to remain in-status for the period of study, a practical training period, and an additional 60 days.
